Buying Anti Aging Supplements Resveratrol Get The Facts Today Before You Do

by Bill Potter

Should you buy anti aging supplements like Resveratrol is a question that I am often asked when discussing the benefits of nutritional supplements with people who contact me from any of my websites or when I am addressing a group of men and women.

The reason people are easily attracted to buying Resveratrol anti aging supplements and products like them is because they see them as a way of helping their health which maybe they have been neglecting it in the past. It allows people to feel that they are doing something but without having to make any real effort such as changing diet or exercising. It is for this very reason why over the last few years the nutritional supplement industry has been booming and as more and more people become health aware it will accelerate even further and one of the supplements leading the latest charge is Resveratrol.

Do Resveratrol Pills Actually Work?

There have been a quite a number of occasions where men and women have complained regarding the overall effectiveness of any number of nutritional supplements, many of which are used on a day to day basis by millions. This is only to be expected really as the majority of nutritional supplements do not actually cure any illness but rather work over time to enhance life and wellness.

Looking positively Resveratrol anti aging supplements have not been subject to much negative press so maybe this means people are still keeping an open mind. Or it may just be that people are less aware of this new "wonder drug" and are sticking to Acai Berry, Hoodia and Vitamins which are now being put under the media scrutiny.

Is The Information Being Given True?

This on the face of it is good news for the future of Resveratrol but it won't mean that everything you hear or read is actual fact. Like everything being sold today you may need to look carefully at any testimonials and evidence presented and ascertain if it is real or just marketing speak. I can however say from personal experience taking the Resveratrol I had that it made me feel better but it's hard to say exactly why.

How is Resveratrol Produced?

Whilst the "French Paradox" and obtaining Resveratrol from red wine makes a lovely story for those selling it the truth is rather more mundane. Most Resveratrol produced for commercial purposes is made from a rather boring plant called Japanese Knotweed. It is simply a case of it provides a cheaper and more readily available source and so far the best way to make Resveratrol.

How Can I Try Resveratrol?

I feel through my own experiences that the best way at least initially is to try and buy Resveratrol is to take one of the free trails that are being offered online. These will give you a chance for a few months to see if this product works for you and even try different formulations of this popular supplement before you buy Resveratrol anti aging supplements on a regular basis.

But Does It Actually Work?

Universities and research organizations across the world have been taking the use and effects of Resveratrol very seriously and most research is ongoing. What however is clear is that there is a growing amount of evidence to suggest that Resveratrol pills are at least effective in some way for some individuals.

It is quite hard to put forward any quantifiable evidence for the effectiveness of Resveratrol on humans as most information so far comes from testimonials (usually hard to confirm) and laboratory test on animals. So until these tests and trials are expanded to humans and positive measureable evidence provided the Resveratrol pills you see for sale currently will be sold only as nutritional supplements only under those sets of rules and regulations.

But keep your eye out for press and media reports because who knows one day Resveratrol may be given an accolade as a true life improver even by its current biggest cynics. In a future article I will be telling you more about the sort of research being done on supplements like Resveratrol anti aging supplement and how these breakthroughs could one day change your life.

How to Identify a Fad Diet

by Cheryl Baker

For years certain diets have been advertising that their plan will make you lose weight miraculously with little effort. Look at infomercials and website ads that claim that on their plan you will lose 10 pounds in a week by following only one easy rule. These are not only unhealthy but can be potentially harmful. And these plans are not sustainable over the long term. Most people who try these programs will gain the weight back– plus more. The best way to avoid these diets is to not start one in the first place. To easily detect a fad diet, evaluate each plan with these six questions.

Does this plan eliminate entire food groups such as no fat or no sugar? If a diet plan cuts out entire food groups, stir clear of it. .Many plans will claim that the key to losing weight is by eliminated carbohydrates. However, eliminating entire food groups, like carbohydrates, also eliminates the important nutrients that these foods provide. Carbohydrates are important for brain function and energy. Cutting them out can lead to lack of energy and concentration problems. Many of these plans can then lead to malnutrition.

Does this plan contain a list of "good" and "bad" food? If there is a "good" and "bad" list, avoid this plan. There are no "bad" foods as many diet plans claim. There are foods to eat less of, such as desserts, but not completely ban. There are also foods that we need to eat more of, like fruits and vegetables, but calling them "good" can lead to guilt when we eat the "bad" ones. All foods have a place in a healthy eating plan.

Does this plan call for you to take a special pill/herb or drink a shake in place of a meal? Any diet plan that says weight loss will not happen unless you take this special pill/herb or shake is just trying to sell its product. Many weight loss pills can cause heart attacks and other health problems. Always eat real food when you are trying to lose weight.

Does this diet plan call for a major cut back on eating, effectively starving yourself? If you find that the diet calls for an extreme lack of calories then it definitely is not worth your time. Starvation can lead to weight gain because the body is trying to conserve its resources from what little food energy you are taking in. Then, when you start eating again you will overeat and gain more weight. Eat enough nutrient dense foods so you do not feel constantly hungry.

Does this plan have a promise of a quick weight loss, such as 10 pounds in one week? Stay as far away from this type of plan as possible. Losing 10 pounds in a week is extremely unhealthy and you could do real damage to your body. Plus, most people would not be able to sustain the starvation long enough. You will become discouraged with your progress and overeat when you decide you can't be on the diet anymore. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week maximum.

Does this plan use an overall claim that sounds too good to be true? If it sounds so good that you wonder how true it is, go with our gut feelings…the plan is a fad. Real weight loss takes work and commitment, and can be a slow process. This process will pay off with permanent weight loss. Stick with a sensible plan that focuses on fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and low fat dairy products broken down into three meals and two snacks a day. Exercise regularly and eat less high fat foods. No fad diet required.

The Fountain Of Youth Has Been Found… In A Bottle!

by Jen Hopkins

Having spent twelve years as a stylist, I have a reputation among women for being a dependable authority in the world of beauty. However, they fail to realize that simple being a sharp, gay male at an attractive 6'2" does not automatically qualify me as an authority on the subject of beauty. It is true, though, that I always look out for any information that can help me get ahead among my colleagues .

Recently I was applying highlights to a client's hair when she began a lighthearted conversation with a fellow stylist of mine. She began going on elaborately about the 54th birthday party she had just had. I was surprised beyond belief; this lady had been coming to me for 5 years, and I had always believed her to be just shy of 45, if not younger.

I listened for a few more minutes before my curiosity got the best of me. I absolutely had to know how she kept herself looking so youthful. Face lifts and Botox immediately came to mind but I have been wrong before, and this was no exception.

With a smile I finally mustered the courage to ask. aGirl what are you doing to keep yourself looking so young?a We both chuckled as she grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her. aDo you promise not divulge my secret?a she asked. I excitedly nodded and she pulled me even closer. aI found the fountain of youa she whispered in my ear. I let out a roaring laugh.

My client elaborated; she told me about her success in capturing her youth by using an organic skin cream rather than the lab created skin creams she used to utilize. I was skeptical, however, I wondered if there was really that big of a difference between the two types of creams.

That night, I decided to dig up a little information on my own. Upon doing so, I found out that most skin creams used preservatives that caused inflation of price and a decrease in the quality of the cream itself; even those that used the phrase "organic" had this problem.

It turns out the company my client referred uses no potentially toxic ingredients and all of their ingredients come from certified organic farms. They do not water down even their most potent ingredients and add no colorings agents or fragrances, both of which can affect results of the product.

I know now that it is vital to look at what potentially toxic ingredients are present in skin creams when looking for one to begin using; most will contain some of they are not 100% organic. A study done in 2004 found that Prebens, a preservative used in many beauty products, was also a component of 18 out of 20 malignant breast tumors. Overall, sticking completely organic products when searching for a skin cream is the most healthy, economical, and successful option.
